Summary :
We find here the same idea of covering up the face as in MIROIR, MIROIR: the loss of identity and a fascination with ugliness and monstrosity. The vain make-up has been replaced by a material that is sculpted and smeared on the face and that becomes a grotesque mask blocking all the orifices of the face (eyes, nose, mouth). The flesh is thus shown to be palpable and changeable. Through this childish plastic surgery, Isabelle FROMENT dissapppears only to reappear as a dreadful doll having lost all the senses which linked her to her own existence. Seduction at all costs, even if it means fading away and becoming this ideal and fantasized other.
