Above Chile. Our plane is descending too quickly. Something is wrong.
Below us is a crater on top of a mountain. The pilot tries to set down in it but his approach is too low. He scrapes the rim and crash-lands. The plane's interior is a series of windowless rooms, lined with plywood.
Some of the panels are on fire. I push from one room to the next trying to find an exit. Someone has taken the precaution of making digital duplicates of the passengers in case we are killed in the crash. Someone warns that if the originals are killed, the duplicates will die too since they are only numbers.
