Summary :
About "Dreyer pour mémoire" - a documentary drill. "There is a place in Roubaix (France), the "Cie de l’Oiseau Mouche" (Company of the Hummingbird) which houses and trains handicapped workers/actors. I mean that they are registered and identified as such. Friends. Who work. Thirty five hours a week. This company domiciled at a locality known as "le Garage" produces shows with these actors. They also host other shows. These actors are the protagonists of the film. We were willing to keep a trace, thanks to images and sounds, of a workshop which had begun one year before. Choosing frames; making blueprints; designing lights; working in live sound conditions; choosing what will be out of shot; looking in such or such direction. The stage of "Le Garage" was, for a period of time, turned into a film set. As in the days of the cinema. Saying the lines: from memory. Working as a team. Stories lacking the story. We have experienced a fight which began on June 26, 2003. This fight is still spreading. We decided to stop the shooting at "La Cie de l'Oiseau Mouche". Willing to be part of it too. Sharing the joy of this "no". Feeling the power of this "We". Nothing compelled us to do so. Thus, our words were also acts. Acts of actors who free themselves from their roles.
