Summary :
“From your lips, I will receive the thin sketch of the image. As you are painting it, you will surely have the skill to soften the intensity of the whole thing. More than seeing it, I wish I could hear it.” Robert Walser.
“Something is not going past. In a way, we could say the past is what does not go past. It is either a projection, or in that projection, a trip that goes through the “path of love fields”. Go to the other end of Europe, to see the big river mouth and its wagons of complaints.
In the beginning, we are set in a dark place that prevents us from making a clear distinction between “us” and “them”, as if it was already taken for granted. That distinction floats in the air, like something that could captivate us, something that we would have to create. Someone is speaking in the present tense, but it is already part of the past. It is a projection, it is a movie; a movie in which we can hear an employee of the world company speaking, while we see poor images that tempt to show us what we usually see at night—common places—as we think about these words. Images that struggle to become shots. And then we see a passage that is like the passing of a baton in a relay. Somebody starts speaking; the level of language changes, from something positive to something negative. And then the movie consubstantially goes away. What could be necessary suddenly comes to life: anger, embodied by softness and despair. That is the anger of a woman who wishes to end it all, determined to fight against the immeasurable voluntary servitude that brings us terrible news every day, even though it is true we manage to overcome our own problems. We need movies to see “us” as something that looks upon us in the first place, and to see the world from that brotherly, but not necessarily pleasant place embodied by “the other” in the second place. Movies are also necessary to uncover an entity that bears its own message: the proletariat.”
Olivier.

“Filming is like uncompromisingly writing at the level of the questions that are projected. The act of filming is something really demanding. Factories, advertising, roads, public transport: our own world, proudly expressed with the dignity of consciousness.” Jean-Pierre Rehm.
