Summary :
Based on a play, Rope (1948) by Alfred Hitchcock has the characteristic of being filmed behind closed doors in an apartment scenery, giving the feeling of a single master shot, what emphasizes the proximity already marked with the theatrical type, the film being shot in the manner of a genre play. Hitchcock used the technique of the Ten Minutes Take (ten minutes being the length of a roll), the continuity shots between the ten sequences being relatively discreet, thanks to tricks like the passing of the camera in the back of an actor or the use of quite classic jump cuts.
