Summary :
L'ILLUSION SENSIBLE is an experimental work on the illusions of perception. The video tries to establish a parallel between certain visual and audio perceptive effects through a concrete and plastic language. The same materials were used to create the image and the sound. Objects made of different materials were photographed and then the images were digitally reprocessed. In parallel, the sounds produced by those objects were recorded and also digitally reprocessed. The same types of computer processes were used for sounds and images. For example, the sound filters (dynamics, electronic echo, amplitude, etc.) have been associated with certain parameters of the image (contrast, chroma, brightness, etc.). Processes of additive and substractive synthesis, of mixing, juxtaposition and inversion, were thus applied both to images and sound objects.
