CEREMONIAL for September 11.
In the cloud of the second Twin Tower that had just collapsed, I saw the face of the Beast (without the Beauty) slowly turn around. It reminded me of a prophetic poem written by Leslie Silko, a Laguna writer. I had already made a picture out of it 12 years earlier. “Ceremony 01” is like an echo to it. The end of The Tempest by William Shakespeare is here used as a postface.
What if the White World was just a creature stemming from Indian witchcraft? How can we create optimism without illusion nowadays?
