Summary :
The first part of the film shows a betting room, filled with men talking, looking at newspapers, at forecasts, betting in a sordid atmosphere. The second part, in colour, shows a slaughterhouse for horses, as big as a factory, with its machines, its personnel. Everything has to go very fast. The meat must be fresh.
