Summary :
This second section of the cycle CITES ANTERIEURES is a radiograph of the city of Bruges from within its walls. The purpose of these embryonic narratives, in which characters dressed in ancient or modern costumes move within the boat-shot, is mainly to cast a glance on Flemish painting. Our vision of Jan VAN EYCK, Hans MEMLING, Pieter BRUEGHEL and Gérard DAVID is revived thanks to a relentless coming and going between past and present, where anachronic objects likes cars or bicycles intrude, creating a strange feeling of permanency.
