Summary :
Soul of man, you are like water which descends from heaven and then rises again, eternal and changeable." For this poem by GOETHE, which was inspired by the sight of a waterfall, SCHUBERT composed a music for a male choir and strings, on which this video is entirely built. A metaphysical video, which faithfully follows the text and music and gives my own interpretation of them: a celebration of man, who is born of mud, but also a song celebrating earthly forms, although not a commercial for nature. Fountains and waterfalls, city waters and springs of the desert, world with men or world without men, all sing the same song.
