Lischi
Sandra Lischi was born in Pisa, Italy, in 1951. She teaches "the theory and the technique of audio-visual means of communication" at the University of Pisa. She has been working for a long time in experimental and independant cinema, in research video and in electronic arts. She has published several books, essays and articles on these topics and has developped a theoretical and didactic activity, but has also been involved in promotional and distributional activities. |

In 1985, she founded "Ondavideo" in Pisa, a cultural organization which organizes meetings, demonstrations and productions in the field of the new languages of sound and image. She co-directs "Invideo" in Milan, which is an international exhibition of art and research video, and she collaborates in the daily newspaper "il manifesto". Among her publications there are, Metamorfosi della visione (with Rosanna Albertini), 1988, the first compilation of texts on video art published in Italy; Il respiro del tempo-Cinema e video di Robert Cahen 1991 (also published in France, with the title Le souffle du temps in the collection "Chimaera", CICV Montbeliard-Belfort); Cine ma video (1996). During a stay in the CICV, to contribute to the work of the poet and Italian producer Gianni Toti, she produced a video portrait of the artist, PlaneToti-notes, in 1997 Do not forget the exclamation mark !
