Using a documentary-like practice made up mainly of interviews and film, Eléonore de Montesquiou collects personal stories and descriptions that she turns around intofiction, keeping as close as possible however to the intimate circle or social life in all its typical aspects. The "I" is not the artist, nor even any of the people who confide in her sympathetic ear, but the crossbred, blended "I", whose abstract and collective tones nevertheless ring out in a manner that strangely resembles our own voices. Texts, photographs, installations, video, film show us the same uncompromising eye and a precise, sensitive analysis of relational space.
Eléonore de Montesquiou lives and works in Berlin.
